London
London is the largest urban area in, and the capital of, england and the UK. An important settlement for two millennia, London’s history goes back to its founding by the Romans. Since its settlement, London has been part of many important movements and phenomena throughout history, such as the English aissance, the Industrial Evolution, and the Gothic Rereval.The city’s core, the ancient City of London, still retains its limited medieval boundaries; but since at least the 19th century the name “London” has also referred to the whole metropolis which has developed around it.[ Today the bulk of this conurbation forms the London religion of city and the Greater London administrative area,with its own elected mayor and assemblly.
London is the world’s leading business, financial, and one of the world’s leading cultural centres, and its influence in politics, education, entertainment, media, fasion and the arts all contribute to its status as a major global city.London boasts four World Heritage Sitets: The , Palace of Westminister Westminister Abbey and St,Margaret Church; the Tower of London; the historic settlement of Greenwich; The city is a major tourist destination.
London’s diverse population draws from a wide range of peoples, cultures, and religions, and over 300 languages are spoken within the city. As of 2006, it has an official population of 7,512,400 within the boundaries of Greater London and is the most populous manicipality in the European Union. As of 2001, the Greate London urban has a population of 8,278,251 and the metoropolitan area is estimated to have a total population of between 12 and 14 million.London is the current Olympic City and will be hosting the 2012 Summer Olympic.
Thailand
As my graduation trip, I may go to Thailand. If i can go, i wanna visit many place.
The Kingdom of Thailand is an independent country which lies in the heart of Southeast Asia. The country is bordered to the north by Laos and Burma, to the east by Laos and Cambodia, to the south by the Gulf of Thailand and Malaysia, and to the west by the Andaman Sea and Burma. The capital and largest city of Thailand is Bangkok. It is also the country’s centre of political, commercial, industrial and cultural activities. Bangkok is known in Thai as “Krung Thep Mahanakorn”, or, more colloquially, “Krung Thep”
The population consists 80% of Thais, 10% of Chinese, and 3% of Malay. The rest are minorities such as Mons, Khmers, and various hill tribes. The country’s official spoken and written language is Thai.
